The Sub Sampler Pro (sometimes called a 'Bomb Sampler') is used throughout the world for both chemical and environmental sampling. Its unique double action means it can sample from a set distance from the bottom of a container or alternatively at a mid point in a container or well .

The Sub Sampler Pro is extremely robust and is available made from either 316 stainless steel or nickel plated brass.

The Sub Sampler Pro is available made from 316 stainless steel or from Nickel plated Brass. Both types of Sub Sampler have a volume of 500ml (16 oz.).

The Sub Sampler Pro is designed to easily unscrew so that it can be cleaned between samples to prevent cross contamination.

Sampling from the bottom of a river

As the Sub Sampler Pro reaches the river bed the valve is pushed open. Water is then able to enter the sampler. As soon as the sampler is lifted off the river bed the valve closes and the sample is trapped inside.

Sampling mid level

Lower the Sub Sampler Pro into the liquid. At the required sampling depth pull on the control line to open the valve. This will allow the water to enter the sampler. When the Control Line (shown in green) is released the valve will close and the sample will be sealed in the bomb sampler.

Hand reels and cables are essential accessories when using Bomb Samplers.

The standard heavy duty hand reel is suitable for most situations. However if you are using the sampler in an Ex rated environment use the Hand Reel Ex with the copper cables.
